The transition from adolescence to adulthood can be a challenging time for anyone. Having experienced a burn injury can make this transition even more difficult.

We offer this program for young adult burn survivors, ages 18-21, to provide fellowship and support with others who have shared similar experiences. It provides the opportunity for peer-focused support and time to discuss difficult issues like intimacy, financial responsibility, planning for your future, and more.

For 2026, the retreat will take place at The Heartland Retreat Center in Parkville, Missouri.  Check-in begins Friday, February 13, 2026 at 5:00PM and check-out is scheduled for Monday, February 16, 2026 at 10:00AM

Burns Recovered is pleased to offer this retreat at no cost to young adult burn survivors wishing to attend. Burns Recovered will cover the costs of registration, fees, lodging, and meals.  Transportation assistance from outside Kansas City to the retreat site is available, please contact Director of Programs, Madeleine at the Burns Recovered office at (314) 939-1550 to inquire.
