The transition from adolescence to adulthood can be a challenging time for anyone. Having experienced a burn injury can make this transition even more difficult.

We offer this program for young adult burn survivors, ages 18-25, to provide fellowship and support with others who have shared similar experiences. It provides the opportunity for peer-focused support and time to discuss difficult issues like intimacy, financial responsibility, social media appropriateness, and more. 

For 2022, the retreat will take place at The Heartland Center in Parkville, MO right outside of Kansas City. Check-in begins Friday, February 11th, 2022 at 5:00 PM. Check-out time is scheduled for Monday, February 14th, 2022 at 10:00 AM.

Burns Recovered is pleased to be able to offer this retreat at no cost to young adult burn survivors wishing to attend. Burns Recovered will cover the costs of registration fees, lodging, and meals.  Transportation assistance from St. Louis to the retreat site is available, please contact the Burns Recovered office at (314) 939-1550 to inquire.
