I’m excited to tell you that Burns Recovered Support Group (BRSG) is going to offer a very special program addressing issues faced by young adult burn survivors by providing a peer-based support retreat.  Changing Times will be held on President’s Day Weekend from Feb. 17-20, 2012.

The transition from adolescence to adulthood can be a challenging time for everyone.  Having experienced a burn injury the challenges can be even more trying.  Therefore, we would like to offer this program for young adults, ages 18-25, to provide a mechanism of emotional support with others who have shared similar experiences.  Changing Times, a Young Adult Burn Survivors Retreat provides the opportunity for peer-focused support and an empowering journey toward self discovery.

The retreat will take place at Camp Wyman in west St. Louis County.  Check-in begins Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM.  Transportation to and from the airport will be available or participants may handle their own travel arrangements.  Check-out time is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 20 at 11:00 AM.

BRSG is pleased to be able to offer this new program to young adult burn survivors wishing to attend this retreat.  BRSG will cover the costs of registration fees, lodging, meals and transportation to and from the St. Louis airport (if necessary).  Attendees will be responsible for transportation to the airport if coming from areas other than St. Louis.
